The Web-Empowered Church
Our district is utilizing the tools of The Web Empowered Church ministry. The Web Empowered Church, or WEC for short, is a ministry of The Foundation for Evangelism designed to help churches and ministries around the world apply Internet technology to enhance evangelism, discipleship and care.
The WEC software is built upon TYPO3, an enterprise-class content management system. The WEC is ministry driven, and to maximize availability to churches and ministries around the world, it is an open platform that anyone can host or extend without paying for the WEC software.
The WEC software (TYPO3 configuration, templates and ministry extensions) is newly developed, and many more capabilities will be added in the months and years to come.
